Portraiture lies at the center of my practice. Rather than creating straight forward representations of individuals, I use the human figure to explore emotion, memory, and the ways personal and collective histories intersect. Faces, gestures, and fragments of form become carriers of narratives that are intimate, expressive, and open to interpretation.
