Mahmoud Saïd’s debut solo exhibition is hosted by the Institut Français d’Égypte à Alexandrie. Titled Grandes Figures Françaises en Égypte (“Historical French Figures in Egypt”), the exhibition explores the long and complex relationship between Egypt and France, beginning with the campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte and extending into the modern era.
Through a series of portrait paintings and drawings depicting prominent French figures connected to Egypt’s history, the exhibition highlights the enduring cultural and historical dialogue between the two countries.
In March 2025, a selection of artworks from this exhibition was permanently installed at the Consulate General of France in Alexandria, where it became part of the Consulate's permanent collection.
